"Bashkiria" National Park sheltered bear cub from Tyva
UFA, 11 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The "Bashkiria" National Park sheltered a bear cub-orphan from Kyzyl, the capital of the Republic of Tyva. The bear cub was brought to Bashkortostan by the animal rights activist Anna Arbatskaya. The animal was seized from the local resident because of improper treatment. The animal rights activist applied to the "Bashkiria" National Park to adapt the beast to the wild.
The bear cub was placed in the house of the forester together with another foundling from the Kugarcha district left without its mother. It turns out that in order to successfully release a bear cub into a wild habitat, it needs a friend to live and develop together. According to the directorate of the park, now the cubs will grow under the supervision of specialists and prepare for independent living in the wild.
"I am glad that I opened a channel for helping wild animals between Tyva and Bashkiria," said Anna Arbatskaya. "I hope for a long-term cooperation between the regions."
