Ufa patients with transplanted organs will play volleyball with their rescuers - transplant doctors

UFA, 10 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In Ufa, patients with transplanted donor organs will play volleyball with a team of their rescuers - transplant surgeons. The amateur match will be held at the educational and sports complex of Bashkir State Medical University on Thursday, May 11.

The sport event is organized in support of the "Transplantation? I'm in favour!"project. As practice shows, today there are many misconceptions and conflicting information about organ donation and transplantation in Russia. The project was created to change public opinion and to support patients and donors. The active members want to draw public attention to the development of transplantation and organ donation in order to improve the quality of life of patients who need organ transplants, the press service of the Health Ministry RB informs.

The match will be held in Ufa on the initiative of the interregional public organization "Nephro -League".

The Bashkir capital repeatedly hosted football matches with participation of transplantologists and patients operated by them. However, they will play volleyball for the first time.

The event will begin at 4 pm at: Teatralnaya Street, 2/1.
