Rustem Khamitov laid flowers to Eternal Fire in Ufa Victory Park
UFA, 10 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. On May 9, in the Ufa Victory Park, the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, took part in a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The Head of the Republic laid flowers to the monument to the Heroes of the Soviet Union Alexander Matrosov and Minnigali Gubaidullin, at the foot of which there was the Eternal Flame.
After performance of the hymns of the Russian Federation and Bashkortostan Republic, the participants of the ceremony honoured memory of the defenders of the Fatherland who had not returned from the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.
Also Rustem Khamitov laid flowers to the grave of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Gareev, to the busts of Major-Generals Minigali Shaimuratov and Tagir Kusimov installed in the Alley of Heroes of the Memorial of Glory, and to the monument of the homefront workers.
The Head of the Region welcomed cadets of the Ufa Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and pupils of the Ufa cadet corps named after the twice Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Gareev, who marched in honour of the immortal feat of the heroes-liberators.
During his visit Rustem Khamitov talked with veterans and residents of Ufa, congratulated them on the holiday, wished them health and many happy returns of the day.
