Increase in mortality from neoplasms is registered in Bashkortostan year to date

Since the beginning of the year, in Bashkortostan a demographic situation has been characterized by an increase in mortality and a decline in the birth rate. According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, more than 12 thousand children were born, about 13 thousand people died.

At the same time, diseases of the circulatory system have a special effect on mortality rates. During the reporting period, the number of deaths from this disease decreased, but there was an increase in mortality from neoplasms. The death rate from external causes showed a positive trend - 103 people died less compared to the same period of the last year. One of the important indicators, where a positive result was also achieved, was able-bodied population mortality - a decrease of eight percent.

A significant impact on demographic indicators was made by an infant mortality rate, which in the first quarter was 5.9 ppm according to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency data, which is below the target, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health specified.
