More than 752 thousand citizens took part in volunteer clean-ups in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan, more than 752 thousand citizens took part in the ongoing environmental campaign for cleaning, landscaping and accomplishment. The most massive event was the All-Russian Clean-Up "Green Russia", which gathered about 70 thousand people.

About 29 thousand tons of solid municipal waste was collected and transported to the landfills. Landscaping measures are also conducted in the region- more than 16 thousand trees and bushes have been planted. Fences and facades of buildings, road surface were repaired.

The share of cleaning, improvement of settlements makes now 60 percent in the republic, the Ministry of Ecology informs. The highest percentage of cleaning is registered in Iglino, Buraevo, Dyurtyuli, Uchaly and Yanaul districts.
