More than 1.5 million tulips and daffodils will bloom in Ufa

UFA, 28 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. More than 1 million 200 thousand tulips and over 300 thousand daffodils will bloom in the streets, squares and parks of Ufa this spring. The bulbs of plants were planted at the end of October, so that bright flowers adorn the city for the May holidays.

According to the press service of the capital administration, today the municipal employees prepare favourable growth of plants - they clean the flower beds of last year's foliage, debris and sand, and also hoe the soil.

"In addition to planting annual flowers on central urban sites, perennial plants are planted in autumn. Basically, tulips, daffodils and muscari prevail. Since 2014, city flower gardens were decorated with 1 million 200 thousand tulips, more than 300 thousand daffodils and more than 200 thousand decorative onion grass – total more than 1 million 750 thousand perennial plants," said the head of the department of forestry, landscaping and forest park works of "Gorzelenhoz" Municipal Unitary Enterprise Maxim Shcherbakov.

In connection with frequent cases of flower beds and lawns spoilage, digging out and gathering flowers, acts of vandalism, the city services urge Ufa residents to treat carefully the municipal objects.
