Bashkortostan resident made bike ride to Astana for 10 days

UFA, 28 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The disabled person of group I Ildar Galiakbarov from Bashkortostan for 10 days reached Astana on a special needs trike. The 39-year-old man went on a solitary journey to Kazakhstan on April 17 and overcame a 1300 km path on a vehicle made by himself.

The traveler without both feet and fingers passed Tatarstan, Samara and Saratov regions, and visited Volgograd. On April 25, he crossed the border of Russia and Kazakhstan. Everywhere he was met by friendly and just not indifferent people.

Ildar Galiakbarov devoted his trip to the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In Astana he intends to transfer the veterans of Kazakhstan messages from the veterans of our republic. Here he plans to celebrate May 9 and go back.

This is his second trip - two years ago Ildar met the Victory Day in Sevastopol. He has many more trips in his plans. He wants to show other disabled people that there is nothing impossible for a person. He works as a mail carrier in the editorial office of a local regional newspaper, he is engaged in sports and equipment assembly.

The selfless traveler has already been named the Bashkir Konyukhov, and veterans of the republic call him the ambassador of peace, friendship and Victory for his patriotism.
