All People’s Front experts will check difference in salaries of medical institutions heads and ordinary doctors

In a number of regions of Russia, the difference in salaries of medical institutions heads and doctors exceeds that established by the local authorities. Such conclusions were made by All People’s Front experts, who analyzed the government report. In May, experts plan to analyze the income statements of chief doctors in 2016 to check once again how much the salaries of managers and doctors differ. This is reported by the Central Headquarters of the All People’s Front.

The instruction to eliminate a significant difference in salaries of the head physicians and the main personnel of the hospitals was given by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in September 2015 at the All People’s Front Forum on Public Health. Regulatory legal acts were adopted in the regions, fixing the maximum ratio of salaries of managers and employees of health care institutions.

However, in 13 regions in a number of medical institutions, as it turned out, the ratio of salaries of top medical executives and medical staff established by local authorities is not observed. This is the Voronezh region, where the salary of the head physician was 7.7 times higher than the allowable salary of medical professionals, Kursk Region - 7.96 (4), Moscow - 7.5 (6.5), Tver Region - 7.5 (4), Sverdlovsk Region - 7.2 (6), St. Petersburg - 7 (6), Tula Region- 6.56 (6), Kamchatka - 5.2 (4), Amur Region- 5.01 (3), Jewish Autonomous Region- 5 4), the Republic of Altai - 5 (3), North Ossetia-Alania - 3.9 (3), Kalmykia - 3.2 (3).

The coordinator of the All People’s Front Centre for Monitoring Health Quality and Accessibility, State Duma deputy Nikolay Govorin stressed that in May, experts would analyze the salaries of the head physicians for 2016. In those entities where a significant gap in salaries will be revealed, letters will be sent to the regional Ministry of Health with a request to explain what caused this difference.
