Profteport SPE USPTU team took prizes at international conference in Krakow

UFA, 13 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The eighth international student oil congress "East Meets West" took place in the Polish city of Krakow.

The EMW Petroleum Congress & Career Expo is one of the most famous and quoted student events of the World Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). It was attended by students, graduate students and young scientists from all over the world. Young engineers were able to present their developments, communicate with employers and share experiences with other participants of the congress.

The SPE USPTU (Ufa State Petroleum Technological University) delegation also took part in the conference. The USPTU students and postgraduates managed to show themselves in every section of the congress.

Oliver Spenger with his work "Big Data-When Less is More" took the second place in the European competition of scientific works.

The master's student Yusuf Premanandi successfully defended his work "Сomparative Analysis and Prediction of Effectiveness Hydraulic Fracturing in the Priobslkoe Oilfield".

Aigul Shadrina, with her work "Research and Performance Analyzes of FAU-structured Zeolites During Alkylation Process" took the second place among all participating countries in the International Competition of Poster Reports having scored 195 points out of 200.

The USPTU team consisting of Yusuf Premanandi, Dmitry Shadrin, Oliver Spenger, Dilara Gafarova, Aigul Shadrina, Mujahid Abdulahi and Savior Egwu took part in the European stage of the Petrobowl World Petroleum Championship. The Russian national team included only two teams: from USPTU and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.

Developments by Yusuf Premanandi, Aigul Shadrina and Oliver Spenger were published in the annual international bulletin of the East Meets West Petroleum Congress & Career Expo.
