More than 62 thousand republican residents took part in first environmental clean-ups

UFA, 10 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Bashkortostan, more than 62 thousand people took part in the first ecological volunteer clean-ups. About 1.3 thousand tons of garbage have been collected, the share of cleaning and improvement in the region amounted to 4 percent so far, according to the Ministry of Ecology RB.

Traditionally, municipalities in the period of the spring ecological campaigns repair roads, fences, facades of buildings and other elements of improvement. This made more than 7,4 thousand square meters and 1,3 thousand linear meters, respectively.

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, environmental clean-ups have not yet started in some districts and cities of the republic. Among them there are Sterlitamak, Agidel, Neftekamsk, Oktyabrsky, Salavat, Mezhgorye, as well as 18 rural areas. Ecological campaigns will last until May 13.
