People’s rally was held in Ufa in memory of St. Petersburg terrorist attack victims

UFA, 7 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. In Ufa, a people's rally in support of St. Petersburg was held in Salavat Yulaev Square. It was began with a minute of silence. Then representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church and Central Spiritual Administrations of Muslims of Russia and the republic, politicians - representatives of the regional branches of the main parties, members of public organizations delivered speeches.
"The rallies taking place all over Russia these days are a signal to terrorists of all kinds that we will not forget about this tragedy, that our country is ready at any moment to combat extremism and terrorism, one of the main threats to peace in the world,” said the Speaker of the republican parliament Konstantin Tolkachev.
The organizers of the rally - the Assembly of the Peoples RB, announced a resolution that says: "The tragedy in St. Petersburg, which took the lives of many people, was painful to millions of Russians. We, the multinational people of Bashkortostan, grieve together with the whole country and share the bitterness of the loss. But today we are gathered not only to remember the innocent victims of the terrorist act. Today, those who are not indifferent to the future of our Motherland, who are ready to offer a decisive rebuff to the killers of our peaceful citizens have come to the main square of the republic. "
