Cosmonaut Sergey Revin will arrive in Ufa for Gagarin Centre anniversary

UFA, 7 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. The Hero of Russia, cosmonaut and candidate of pedagogical sciences Sergei Revin will come to Ufa on April 10. In the capital of Bashkortostan, he arrives as an honoured guest at the first anniversary of the Gagarin Centre.

In addition to participating in the celebrations, a meeting with the young Gagarin Centre members is planned. The cosmonaut will tell them about his astronomical experience and flight on the Soyuz TMA-04M transport manned spacecraft. He will speak about what scientific activity can be done in space, and answer the questions of children.

Sergei Revin, the Russian test cosmonaut, is the 113th cosmonaut of Russia (the USSR) and 526th in the world. He received the title of Hero of Russia after a long space flight as a flight engineer (crew commander Gennady Padalka, second flight engineer Joseph Akaba). The flight lasted from May to September 2012. Directly from the ISS the cosmonaut made live broadcasts during the "Time to Space!" program on the "Carousel" TV channel. In 2013 he defended his thesis at Moscow Humanitarian University.
