Ufa Airport will complete large-scale modernization this year

UFA, 6 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Ufa Airport plans to complete a major modernization in late July 2017. The third and final stage of improvements began - a reconstruction of the airfield.

Since the middle of March, works began at the aerodrome to replace the coating on taxiways E, F and D. Asphalt concrete is being replaced with reinforced concrete. This will increase the load-bearing capacity of the repaired elements of the airfield. The lighting navigational equipment will also be reconstructed and roadsides will be reinforced with asphalt concrete, the airport press service reported.

The works are conducted in the conditions of the operating airport. New aircraft parking aprons have been organized, and the traffic and special equipment pattern has been changed.
