Four Bashkortostan residents are nominated for "Philanthropist" International Award

UFA, 31 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Four residents of Bashkortostan are nominated for the "Philanthropist 2016" International Award. The ward of the Ufa boarding school for the elderly and disabled Konstantin Yurin became a nominee in two categories: "Fine Arts" and "Literary Creativity", Ekaterina Vasilko - a unique artist from Ufa, was also qualified for a prize in fine arts. Alevtina Blinacheva participated in the nomination "Literary Creativity", she is known to the inhabitants of Beloretsk as a soloist of the vocal group and actress of the amateur theatre. Sergei Krasnoperov, the member of the Bashkir Republican Organization of the All-Russian Society of the Blind, active participant of creative competitions, concert events, the teacher of the Neftekamsk art school was nominated in the category "Performing Arts".
The awarding ceremony took place at the meeting of the Coordinating Council for Disabled People in the Government House of the republic. The certificates of the prestigious international award were presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of RB Salavat Sagitov.
The "Philanthropist" is the first in the history of mankind award for people with disabilities, which is awarded to them for outstanding achievements in the field of culture and art. The competition is held once every two years. Since 2000, the project involved more than nine thousand people with disabilities from 35 countries and all regions of the Russian Federation, 358 applicants were named laureates and received public recognition. 16 representatives of Bashkortostan became its nominees and laureates. Last year the resident of the city of Salavat, writer Mikhail Smirnov became a laureate of the "Philanthropist" award.
