All hospitals will be able to consult patients remotely in Bashkiria in 2017

UFA, 30 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. All residents of Bashkortostan will be able to get a diagnosis from a specialist without coming to Ufa - such an opportunity will appear by the end of 2017 due to the Centre for Remote Consultations. In February, 17 medical institutions of our republic tested the new technology. 134 tele-consultations on profiles "Cardiology", "Neurology", "Neurorehabilitation", "Oncology", "Traumatology-orthopedics", "Surgery" were conducted. This year the regional Ministry of Health plans to distribute this practice in all medical organizations of the republic.
As Anvar Bakirov, the Minister of Health RB explained, the Centre for Remote Consultations is a part of the Republican Medical Information and Analytical System (RMIAS). For today, 187 medical organizations are connected to the RMIAS. This technology enables rapid exchange of medical information, including laboratory studies, electrocardiograms, sending applications for consultation of specialists of a higher level, while providing access to the patient's electronic medical records for all participants of the consultation.
In order to introduce inter-level telemedicine consultations, Bashkortostan is included in the federal pilot project in such areas as Perinatology, Neonatology, and Cardiology. Within its framework, the Republican Cardiology Centre, the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital and the Republican Perinatal Centre conduct telemedicine consultations with two federal health care institutions - the North-West Federal Medical Research Centre named after V.A. Almazov and the Scientific Centre of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov.
