Turkey is ready to allow Russians to enter without international passports - Izvestiya
UFA, 28 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Turkey is ready to begin a discussion with Russia on the issue of mutual trips of citizens of the two countries using internal ID cards. They have already started installing the appropriate devices for document verification at the airports of the country. According to the «Izvestiya» newspaper referring to the Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu, the parties discussed this issue two years ago, before the Russian Su-24 was shot down on the border with Syria in November 2015.
"Now when our relations have normalized, we can continue these negotiations," TASS quoted the Turkish Foreign Minister.
Simplified Turkey's border crossing regulations are in force for Georgian citizens, and in mid-March Ankara signed such an agreement with Kiev.
