Dmitry Medvedev limited rights of novice drivers

UFA, 27 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. In Russia restrictions are imposed on drivers with less than two years' experience. Changes have been made to the Traffic Rules. Limitations are imposed on towing of other motor vehicles; transportation of passengers on motor vehicles; driving vehicles carrying large, heavy and hazardous goods.

If there is no mandatory young driver identification sign on the vehicles handled by drivers with less than two years of driving experience, prohibition to use such vehicles is provided, allowing administrative liability mechanism for this violation.

Thus, the Government plans to reduce the number of accidents involving novice drivers.
