Disabled from Bashkiria plans to get to Astana by trike

UFA, 16 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The disabled from Bashkiria, Ildar Galiakbarov, plans to get to the capital of Kazakhstan by trike for a month. The resident of the Iglinsky district intends to dedicate his solitary journey to the 72nd anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Ildar Galiakbarov is 39 years old, he is disabled since 2008, his both legs and fingers are amputated. This is not the first trip of the wheelchair user. Two years ago he built a so-called handbike - a hybrid of a bicycle and a wheelchair, drove it to Sevastopol, having overcome the distance of 2,5 thousand kilometers. He performed the bike ride in honour of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Sevastopol residents were so impressed with his heroic deed that they presented him a new electric trike.

Ildar Galiakbarov plans to leave for Astana on April 17. He will spend the whole month on the road, in the destination point he intends to give the veterans of Kazakhstan a message from the veterans of our republic. The traveler asks for help from his fellow countrymen - he needs 50 thousand rubles for his trip.
