One-third of Russians plan to spend May holidays in Turkey

UFA, 10 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. The most of Russians plan to go to Turkey on May holidays. Also experts predict an increase in the tourist flow to Sochi – it can be booked shortly before your trip. This is reported by "Izvestia" referring to the specialists of the "Sletat.ru" company. This year, the top three included Turkey, Cyprus and Thailand.

The first place was taken by Turkey (32 percent of search requests), Cyprus was on the second line with a strong backlog - (8 percent), Thailand on the third (7.7 percent).

In 2016, Greek resorts came to the forefront due to the fact that families with children who had previously vacationed in Turkey and Egypt sought an acceptable climate, high level of security and a decent level of infrastructure in other countries. This year, Turkey was the leader for the May holidays. The country offers fast flights, quality animation and decent children food at affordable prices for tours. In addition, the bulk of tourists choose all-inclusive package tours.

Domestic resorts at the time of the May holidays surrendered their positions. Russia, which in 2016 held the fifth line of the rating (6 percent of requests), this year fell to the ninth (2.8 percent).

According to experts, the arrangement of tour-leaders closer to the May holidays may change, and Russia will fall into the top three.
