Mikhail Babich and Rustem Khamitov acquainted themselves with initiative on yard territories landscaping

UFA, 3 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. On March 3, in Ufa, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the RF President to Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov acquainted themselves with an initiative on yard territories improvement.
The proposal came from the owners of apartment building on Dostoevsky Street. The five-storey brick house was built in 1965. 206 people live in 100 apartments.
As part of the local initiatives program works on capital repair of asphalt concrete pavement with widening of the carriageway of the yard, additional parking lots, improvement of outdoor lighting, installation of children's equipment and pull-up bar complex, demolition of old trees and landscaping of the territory are planned.
The preliminary cost of works is 3.2 million rubles, of which 3 million rubles – are funds from the republican and municipal budgets. 162 thousand rubles were collected by the house owners.
Mikhail Babich and Rustem Khamitov talked with the residents, asked their wishes for landscaping, size of funds collected from everybody. The representative of the initiative group explained that the sum raised from each apartment amounted to 1.5 thousand rubles on average.
Total 250 million rubles will be spent for improvement of Ufa yards on the local initiatives support program with assistance of subsidies from the federal budget. Projects of public spaces development, based on local initiatives are implemented in the territory of Bashkortostan, in accordance with the Decree of the Government RB under the World Bank's methodology.
Three more programs on improvement of yard territories are implemented in the territory of Ufa: installation of children's equipment in the courtyards of apartment buildings; party project "Real Deeds", as well as a project of the program "Modern Urban Environment Formation " ongoing public debates currently.
