Mothers having many children were awarded "Maternal Glory" medals in Ufa on eve of March 8

On the eve of March 8, 44 women having many children living in our republic were awarded the "Maternal Glory" medal and cash prizes in Ufa. The awarding ceremony, which has already become traditional in the republic, took place on March 2. Mothers of many children were congratulated on this significant for them event by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Salavat Sagitov.

Women who gave birth to five or more children and showed conscientious and responsible attitude to their upbringing are entitled to the "Maternal Glory" medal. This medal since 1998 has been already received by more than seven thousand inhabitants of the region with a cash prize of about 8000 rubles.

Among the winners are representatives of 18 districts of the republic and four Ufa residents. Sellers, milking machine operators, economists, kindergarten teachers were among the awardees.

"Our region has implemented a number of measures of social support. The first one is payment of 300 thousand rubles for young families at the birth of the first child for housing purchase. There is a program "Maternity capital" to support families at the birth of the second and subsequent children. Currently measures are being worked out to support families with many children, so that it will be a little easier for you were to raise children, future Russia and Bashkortostan citizens", the vice-premier said.
