No quarrels and good job - basis of marital happiness for Russians

UFA, 13 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. On the eve of Valentine's Day, the Mail.Ru Group conducted a survey of relationship, among more than 45 thousand Russians. Two-thirds of respondents were satisfied with their relationship. 37 percent of respondents believed that happiness was impossible without attention, support and a caring partner. Children in common would make happy 17 percent of men and 10 - women and absence of quarrels - 15 and 10 percent, respectively. It is important to remain financially independent from a partner for one in ten women. Among representatives of the stronger sex, this factor was marked by three percent of respondents.

Stability and material well-being were more valuable for happiness than possessing housing and having children. 33 percent of women and 41 – men would be happy with a stable, well-paid job. Children would increase the level of happiness among 13 percent of respondents of both sexes, and their own housing - among 19 percent. Regular holidays and gifts were named by 24 percent of women and 15 percent of men.

Most women believed domestic violence the most terrible threat to relationship, while 44 percent of men - cheating. Women reacted to cheating twice restrained.
