Ufa has highest birth rate in last six years
UFA, 7 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In the last year more than 18 thousand children were born in Ufa - the highest birth rate in the city over the past six years.
In 2005, more than 11.3 thousand children were born, in 2010 in the capital - about 15 thousand.
As noted at the operational meeting in the town hall, along with an increase in the birth rate, there is a tendency of mortality reducing in Ufa.
In 2016, nearly 12.7 thousand Ufa townspeople died. Accordingly, the natural growth of the population amounted to about 5.5 thousand people last year.
Thus, the capital of Bashkortostan continues to maintain the leading position among the megacities of the country in natural population growth.
