Cold snap to -29 C is expected in Bashkiria - MOE

UFA, 7 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. A cold snap to -29 C is expected in Bashkortostan. With reference to the data of the Republican Met Office the Main Directorate of EMERCOM RF in the Republic of Bashkortostan informs that tomorrow, on February 8, a cloudy weather with clearings is forecast. Patchy light snow, snow, snowstorm, and snow drifts on the roads in the south-east of the republic are expected. Wind will be north, northeast of 5-10 m/s. In the afternoon gusts will reach 16 m/s on the south-east. The temperature will drop to -18, -23 C, at clearings to -29, during the day -13, -18 C, in places to -22. The Emergency Situations Ministry warns of visibility deterioration in some parts of highways from 500 to 1000 m.

"It is predicted traffic, increase in number of small accidents in some parts of federal highways, where repair and reconstruction works are conducted. The occurrence of traffic accidents on the roads of the regional and federal levels of M-5, M-7, F-240 is not above the local level due to weather conditions and a lack of discipline among drivers", the department reports.
