Bashkortostan Statistics Agency analyzed population and migratory trends in republic in 2016

UFA, 7 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Bashkortostan Statistics Agency summed up natural and migratory movement trends in 2016. As a whole, the result is negative - minus almost four thousand people. Last year 55,708 people were born (by 5.6 percent less than in 2015). 52 283 people died for the year (by 3.2 percent less or 1741 people.). The number of births exceeded the number of deaths by 6.6 percent (by 9.3 in 2015).

Among the main causes of death in Russia the diseases of blood circulatory system are still in the lead - 47.7 percent, in Bashkortostan - 41.1. It remains high the share of deaths from malignant and benign tumors - 15.6 percent, in the republic - 13.1. Death from external causes took a share of 8.1 percent, 9.8 in Bashkortostan.

The migration flow volume for January-December 2016 amounted to 301.8 thousand cases. The number of people left the republic amounted to 55 thousand people. 47.6 thousand people arrived for residence here. Over 100 thousand people migrated within the republic. In January-December 2016 the total migratory decline was -7,390 people (in January-December of 2015 the decline was -5,927 people).
