Biathletes Ekaterina Shumilova and Sergey Klyachin won sprint in Ufa at fifth stage of Russian Cup

Ekaterina Shumilova, despite a penalty lap won the sprint race ahead of Violetta Zakurdaeva and Larissa Nadeeva. "Clean" shooting brought victory to Sergei Klyachin among men, who was accompanied on the podium with Alexander Babchin and Alexey Kornev, the website of the Russian Biathlon Union informs. As a result of the sprint a super-pursuit race is planned among men and women.

Among the winners of the junior race was a biathlete from Bashkiria - Mikhail Usov, who was the third in 10 km sprint.

The championship of Russia, national competition of Russia and the 5th stage of the Russian Biathlon Cup are held in the Bashkir capital until January 29. They are attended by more than 200 athletes from 23 regions.

On January 27, similar races will be held among juniors.

On January 28, the team races among men and women will be conducted.

The day of January 29 will feature team races among juniors.

The venue of All-Russian competitions is "Biathlon" sports complex.
