Bashkortostan native deprived of Olympics 2008 medals will appeal

UFA, 26 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The Russian athlete Tatyana Lebedeva plans to file an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on the decision of the International Olympic Committee, depriving her of the silver medal of the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing. The athlete shared this information with the "F-Sport" agency.
On Wednesday, the IOC stripped Lebedeva of silver medals of the 2008 Olympic Games in the long jump and triple jump as a result of cross-checking the doping samples in which traces of the banned drug Turinabol were found.
Later the athlete withdrew from the executive committee of the World Olympians Association (WOA), it is reported on the official website of the organization.
Tatyana Lebedeva was born in Sterlitamak, where she made her first jumps.
