Three lakes are transferred for fish farming in Bashkiria

Three lakes in the territory of Bashkortostan are transferred for fish farming for a period of 25 years, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the region. This is Lake Singirevo in the Kalinin district of Ufa and two lakes in Karmaskaly District - Bolshoi and Maly Karakul. The auction of sites to create fish-breeding farms was held in Middle Volga territorial department of the Federal Agency for Fisheries in Samara.

"Fishing rules do not apply to these lakes from now," said the leading expert of wildlife protection and supervision of the Ministry of Ecology RB Ralim Khazhiev. "And the user has the right to restrict citizens' access to a pond, to ban amateur fishing there".

Currently, the volume of commercial fish farmed by fish breeding farms in the republic is not sufficient to meet all the needs of the population. This figure is 1,500 tons per year. However, as experts note, the region's potential in this area is huge. Total, this year it is planned to allocate about 30 water bodies for fish rearing.
