HC Salavat Yulaev surprisingly lost again

UFA, 24 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. In Podolsk the ninth match of the championship of the Kontinental Hockey League finished. HC Salavat Yulaev (Ufa) lost to local HC Vityaz in shootouts - 3: 4.

The Ufa team was in the lead after the goals scored by participants of the All-Star Game 2017 KHL Zahar Arzamastsev and Kyrill Kaprizov (scored twice) - 3: 0.

But the home team changed the course of the match with efforts of Miro Aaltonen, Yakub Erzhabek and Alexey Kopeikin - 3: 3.

In the overtime the Moscow players did not manage to use their chance to score.

In the shootouts Stepan Hripunov and Linus Omark could not beat the Vityaz goalkeeper Igor Saprykin, but the home team was effective. Alexei Kopeikin scored the winning goal - 4: 3.

HC Salavat Yulaev suffers the third defeat in a row in away matches.

The next match will take place in Moscow against HC Dynamo on January 25.
