Science, education and industry cooperation development was discussed at Ufa Petroleum University

UFA, 20 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) was visited by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Irek Mukhametdinov and the Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. They inspected the Youth Technopark, and then took part in a round table to discuss perspective directions of scientific research development in the field of food industry.

The Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences RB, the Head of Chemical Engineering Department Rayhana Kunakova stressed the importance of university and academic science integration. Her colleague, Professor Radik Zainullin spoke about the department’s developments in the field of hydrogen sulfide utilization, advanced grain processing, studies of betulin and propolis. The Head of the Biotechnology and Microbiological Production Technologies Chair Vladimir Zorin informed about significant progress in the development of productivity stimulating agents, medications and pheromones that help to fight pests. The roundtable participants discussed the need to develop production facilities on the basis of new scientific developments.

"Our university having received the last year a status of the major Russian university intends to take part in another national project: universities as innovation centres. One of the key points here is close interaction with the regional authorities, business community and civil society organizations," said the USPTU Rector Ramil Bakhtizin.
