Rustem Khamitov has met with winners of "Person of the Year" contest

UFA, 11 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. On January 10, the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov met with the winners of the "Person of the Year" contest, which was conducted by the "Bashkortostan Republic" newspaper in 2016.

One of the main topics of discussion was construction of new neighborhoods and their infrastructure.

Thus, Nazifa Yumaguzhina which won the award for saving a drowning child in the river said that in a newly built Novobulgakovo village there were still no health and education facilities, along with problematic transport accessibility. The Head of the Republic noted that such problem was common to most new housing developments.

The Chairman of the street committee of Ukshuk in Beloretsk district Millyat Azikaev also touched on the issue of infrastructure development. Previously Ukshuk was a village, but after joining the city a number of problems appeared. In particular, the rural health post was closed, and people had to travel several kilometers to the municipal clinic. By efforts of local authorities and private entrepreneurs this year the rural health post was restored without involvement of budget funds. Currently construction of an ice rink and a recreation centre is discussed.

The native of Aurgazy District Midhat Khasanov, presently residing in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, spoke about his experience in the construction sector. According to him, it is feasible to build housing with cost of production of 25-30 thousand rubles per sq m.

Rustem Khamitov discussed the topic of cheapening the housing costs with Midhat Khasanov later during a personal meeting.

The director of Experimental Design Bureau "Rotor" (Kumertau) Viktor Hribkov told about the development of ultralight aviation in the republic. According to him, the "Rotor" Design Bureau today is the only company in the country, which produces two-seat helicopters and planes, regularly receiving orders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and regional authorities. He shared with the Head of Bashkortostan his proposals for the further development of ultra-light aircraft during a personal conversation.

The meeting also discussed the issues of environmental protection, creation of geo-parks in the republic, organization of work with homeless animals, promotion of amateur creativity.

The youngest winner of the contest was 11-year-old Ainur Mannanov from Uchaly District, who during the floods saved a drowning schoolboy.

Recall that heroes of publications by the "Bashkortostan Republic" newspaper became participants of the "Person of the Year" annual contest. The criteria for selection were their active social position, contribution to the development of their company, the republic and the country. Newspaper readers together with journalists took part in summing up the results of the competition through phone calls, letters and comments on the edition’s website.
