Weather forecasters warn of severe frosts in Bashkortostan

UFA, 20 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. On December 21, severe night frosts are expected in Bashkortostan. The Republican Office for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring informs about a storm warning. The temperature will drop to -36, -41 degrees Celsius. The forecasters explain a sharp cold snap with the coming Arctic anticyclone from the northern regions of Russia to the territory of our region. Cloudy weather with clearings is predicted during the day, with occasional heavy snow, and blizzard in some areas. The situation on the roads of the republic will deteriorate. The air temperature during the day will rise to -12, -17 degrees.

On December 22 with an increase in atmospheric pressure the intensity of precipitation will reduce. The temperature will be -20, -25 C, during the day -15, -20 C. By the end of this week the temperatures will begin to rise, according to Bashkir Met Office.

Classes at school may be canceled at low temperatures. Primary school pupils do not go to school at a temperature of -25 degrees and below. Secondary school pupils do not attend school at -28, -30 degrees, high school pupils - from -31 and below.
