Ufa townspeople learnt about Solar System planets future

UFA, 16 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. The Ufa Planetarium held a free popular science lecture "Planet that Deceived Us". The audience received answers to the questions: "Does the Sun Rotates on its Axis?", "Why is Venus so Hot?", "What to Expect on Planets in the Future?". The lecture was held by the Ufa blogger and popularizer of cosmonautics Philip Terekhov.

According to the planetarium, now we have an opportunity to see the landscapes of distant planets in photographs taken by spacecraft. Having examined Mercury, Venus and Mars, they have shown that the early beliefs of earthlings about these planets are far from the truth. In fact, places where, in the opinion of many people was to be a life, were covered with mountains, craters and volcanoes in a lifeless desert.

For a half-hour lecture the audience learnt a lot of interesting facts about the terrestrial planets. Philip Terekhov told about the history of their discovery, described the research done. All this, together with visuals in the form of colourful slides and a film was enjoyed by the viewers.
