38-degree frost is registered in Bashkiria

UFA, 15 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Last night was frostier than the last one almost throughout Bashkortostan. The temperatures dropped to -25, -32 degrees Celsius. The coldest weather was observed in Burzyan District. The Shulgan-Tash weather station recorded the lowest temperature in the region -37.8 C. As Bashkir Met Office reports, the Beloretsk weather station thermometers showed - 33.9 C at night, with -34.9 C in the village of Kananikolskoe of Zilair District.

And it was cold at night of December 15 in Ufa too - the city set the next temperature record of December. The Ufa-Dema weather station recorded a minimum air temperature of -31.9 C. Thus, a seven-year record was cut; in 2009 it was -31.6 C on this December night. The Ufa Airport weather station registered -30.1 C. It was warmer in the city itself - 23.6 C registered by the Met Office station.
