Young Ufa residents ask Grandfather Frost for a metal detector, round-the-world trip and gadgets

UFA, 7 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Ufa the Grandfather Frost from Great Ustyug met with Republican journalists and spoke about his great journey across Russia. The New-Year wizard arrived in the Bashkir capital as part of his 48-day tour of the country. Ufa became the 12th out of 20 cities on the route map. The project is organized by the NTV channel.

Beginning in the fall, thousands of children from across the country sent letters about themselves and their wishes for the New Year to the Grandfather Frost. The girl suffers from hearing loss, in spite of this she goes to a music school. Her New Year's dream was a hearing aid. The 10-year-old Angelina Alimova asked him for skates size 35. The Grandfather Frost could not ignore her request - the girl was abandoned by her parents and lives with her grandmother. Another check-point of the New-Year route of the Grandfather Frost was the Charity Exhibition-Fair in the framework of "Skazka Na Dom" campaign. Also today, the organizers team of the New-Year project plans to arrange a holiday in the city rehabilitation centre for children and adolescents.

"Children from Ufa asked for pets. One boy, fascinated by the search for treasures, would like to receive a new metal detector; someone asked to organize a trip around the world. Most of them dream about all kinds of gadgets, toys from modern cartoons and action-thrillers. And I would like it to be trendy among children not tablets and smartphones, but ordinary good Russian fairy-tales", said Moroz Ivanovich.

The Grandfather Frost’s visit in Ufa will end tonight with celebrations in Vatan Ethnopark. There he will meet with the Bashkir Kysh Babai (Bashkir Santa Claus) and kindle the lights on the New-Year Tree. After Bashkortostan he will depart to Kazan.
