Storm warning is announced in Bashkortostan

UFA, 6 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Bashkortostan a storm warning is announced. With reference to the data of the Republican Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring the EMERCOM of Russia in the Republic of Bashkortostan informs that on December 6, and the night of December 7 strong winds - 20-25 m/s, blizzard and snow, with snow drifts on the roads are expected in the region.

In case of wind increasing the EMERCOM recommends avoiding being outside. Do not hide from strong wind near the walls of houses, behind public transport stops, billboards, buildings under construction, under trees. It is potentially hazardous to stand under the power lines, and to approach dangling electric wires. During gales please check the state of electric mains and equipment, heating stoves in houses, ensure serviceability of indoor and outdoor fire water, telephone communication, prepare firefighting equipment. In case of voltage jumps please disconnect all electrical appliances, pull plugs out of sockets to avoid fire.
