New Year Holidays 2017 will last for eight days - Bashkortostan Ministry of Labour

UFA, 6 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The New Year Holidays will last eight days, according to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Bashkortostan.

In accordance with the Labour Code of Russia, the days of January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 are New Year's holidays, January 7 is Christmas –so they are non-working days.

For the rational use of days off and public holidays according to the Government Decree RF dated August 4, 2016 No. 756 «On transfer of public holidays in 2017" a day off from Sunday January 1 is moved to Friday, February 24, and from Saturday January 7 - to Monday, May 8.

Thus, the days off due to holidays are: December 31, 2016 and January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 2017.

On the grounds of Article 120 of the Labour Code while providing basic annual or annual additional paid leave the non-working holidays of January 1-8, are not included in the number of calendar days of the leave, the press service of the Ministry of Labour of Bashkortostan informs.
