Rustem Khamitov has met with Rospechat head Mikhail Seslavinsky

UFA, 25 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. On November 24, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the Head of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications Mikhail Seslavinsky. In Ufa, the Head of the department arrived to participate in the awards ceremony of the "TEFI-Region" National Television Contest.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy General Director – the Head of the Regional Department VGTRK (All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company) Rifat Sabitov and the President of the "Russian Television Academy" Alexander Akopov. They discussed issues related to the development of broadcasting in the republic.

Alexander Akopov said that the 15th anniversary contest "TEFI-Region" had received more than 560 works, so the competition among the participants was very high this year.

“Journalists of Bashkortostan were presented in eight categories: these are "Bashkortostan" state TV and Radio Company, Bashkir satellite TV and All Ufa TV. The republic made its best having demonstrated that highly professional journalists work here”, said Rifat Sabitov.

Rustem Khamitov underlined that the republican broadcasting companies had been taking part in the "TEFI-Region" contest since 2006 and always received awards.

The Head of the Republic suggested holding in Ufa an All-Russian Book Fair or a forum of publishing professionals.

During the meeting the parties also discussed the issues of broadcasting facilities modernization, including reconstruction of the television station building.
