Russians are most interested in health issues while Net surfing - study

UFA, 24 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. The Yandex company, the owner of a popular search engine, told about the preferences of the Russian Internet users, the RIA Novosti reports.

"Health is one of the most popular Internet search topics. More than four percent of search queries - about 7.5 million per day, or more than five thousand requests per minute are devoted to it. This is one of the largest search topics - two times more than cooking, and just the same as cars and everything connected with them", the study informs.

"According to the number of requests from computers the topic of health is second only to the school theme and the movies, and it leads on mobile devices", the Yandex company says.

The most popular category of health queries is about medications, which accounts for 34 percent. It includes questions not only about medical preparations, but also all "conditionally therapeutic" means - a variety of herbal substances, which may have some healing effects, nutritional supplements, as well as various instruments and medical equipment.
