"Fish farms" issue was discussed in Nurimanovo District

UFA, 23 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. On Tuesday, November 22, a seminar-workshop on development of a fish farms network for rearing high-value fish species in the North-East areas and Trans-Urals of Bashkortostan was held in Nurimanovo District.

It is worth noting that today the fish farming industry is one of the most promising sectors of livestock farming in Bashkortostan. As practice shows, during the last 10 years in the republic there has been observed an annual growth of fish farming marketable products. Thus, according to experts, the production of commercial fish in the region in the current year is expected to reach 1640 tons, which is 1.5 times to the level of 2006.

To ensure the continued growth of commercial fish production the Ministry of Agriculture RB provides for the adoption of a set of measures, which include carrying out technical and technological renewal of fish farms, maximum usage of the existing reservoirs, attraction of investments and increase in the sector attractiveness for entrepreneurship.
