Injured in occupational accidents inhabitants of Bashkiria will be granted cars from Social Insurance Fund

The regional department of the Social Insurance Fund of Bashkortostan has once again handed in the car keys to the people injured at work. 24 inhabitants of the republic became owners of new cars. In December, the vehicles will be granted to 12 people more, the press service of Social Insurance Fund RB informs.

The «Lada Granta» vehicles specially adapted for disabled people are equipped with an automatic transmission and a manual control for those with damaged limbs. Providing special vehicles with manual control is a type of social rehabilitation of persons injured in occupational accidents. It is regulated by the Federal law "On Compulsory Social Insurance against Occupational Accidents and Diseases". Cars are given to holders of insurance payments if the need in them is defined by institutions of social and medical assessment.

Since 2001, 968 citizens of the republic have received cars from the Social Insurance Fund in Bashkortostan. By the end of this year, more than 1,600 Russians injured at work will be provided with vehicles. More than 300 people will receive compensation for self-purchased cars.
