Five yurts of Grandfather Frost will open in Bashkiria

UFA, 22 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Five yurts of Grandfather Frost will open in the republic within the framework of the "Wonderful, New-Year's Bashkortostan 2017" project. The central yurt will be located in Ufa, the Executive Director of the Urban Projects Fund Vitaly Pilipchuk said.

A fairy town with a skating rink, slides, a concert venue and thematic yurts will run at "Vatan" Park. The granddaughter of the Grandfather Frost will welcome guests, play with children and take photos with them in the "Snow Maiden Yurt". Creative workshops, master classes for children on making New-Year’s crafts will be held at the "Guest Yurt". You can get acquainted with fairy-tale characters at the "Grandfather Frost’s Helpers Yurt", and take part in competitions in the "House of Tales".

Here the mail of Grandfather Frost will be also opened, where a souvenir or a postcard can be sent to any address.

On December 25 a light show will be held at "Vatan" Park. On the same day, and on January 8, metrobuses will run to deliver Ufa residents and visitors free of charge along the route that unites all ice towns.

The Bashkir Grandfather Frost will welcome guests in his yurt daily until January 15, after which he will transfer a baton to fairy-tale characters. On January 29, a solemn closing of the Grandfather Frost’s residence will take place and up to Shrovetide the park will work as a winter village, the press service of the Ufa administration informs.
