Ufa will join "Giving Tuesday" event

UFA, 21 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The Public Fund for Ufa Development invites socially active moms and their families to join the celebration of the World Day of Charity - "Giving Tuesday" and to take part in a charity event.

On November 29 a gala charity concert dedicated to Mother's Day will be held in the City Recreation Centre (October Prospect, 137) at 19.00. To receive an invitation to the charity concert, you need to make a donation in the amount of 100 rubles. Invitations can be obtained only in the office of the Public Fund for Ufa Development (Komsomolskaya str., 35). All funds raised will be directed to support and implementation of children charity projects in the city.

Also on this day, a Giving "BlagoBazar" with themed streets will run from 17.30 to 18.50 in the foyer of the first floor of the City Recreation Centre. All donations received on the results of the Giving "BlagoBazar" will also be directed for supporting and implementing children's charity projects of the Public Fund.

The public initiative "Giving Tuesday" runs in 71 countries. In Russia, this year it takes place for the first time and is co-ordinated by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). On the last Tuesday in November, millions of people around the world will join together to become a part of a large charity flashmob – they will organize events, make donations, participate in the activities and initiatives for the benefit of charitable organizations. All information on activities and events is united in social networks under the hashtag #SchedryyVtornik (Giving Tuesday).
