Rustem Khamitov: "Charity develops increasingly in Bashkortostan"

UFA, 17 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. On November 17, in Ufa Congress Hall the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov delivered a speech at the plenary session of the "Dialogue of Women. Charity without Borders" International Forum.

“The charity in recent years has reached a professional level. Today, there are constantly operating foundations. They work in a legal field that has already been formed. Today, an intellectual, legal environment has developed around the charity”, Rustem Khamitov said.

According to the Head of the Region in Bashkortostan all conditions for the development of charity were created.

“Charity develops increasingly in the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as nationwide. We have a Council for Charity under the Head of the Republic. Considerable funds are directed to charity”, said Rustem Khamitov. “I do not want to boast, but the money allocated in the republic to charity amount to hundreds of millions of rubles. This means that thousands of people are getting much-needed help.”

During the meeting Rustem Khamitov handed in letters of appreciation to four organizations involved in the charity activity in the republic. Among them there are the Children from Deprived Backgrounds Support Foundation, the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Foundation, the "Operation Smile" regional charitable public organization, the "Life Line" Charity Foundation for Seriously Ill Children.
