Photo fact: more than 10 cm of snow fell in Ufa at night

UFA, 8 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Ufa, more than 10 cm of snow fell during the last night. The morning of November 8 was anything but simple for the city public services and drivers as it was covered with thick layer of snow.

Earlier the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) citing the data from the republican Directorate for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring reported that on November 8 and 9 icy roads, sleet, snowstorm, snow drifts, heavy precipitation in the form of snow and rain were expected in the region. Wind gusts will reach 18-23 m/s. It was predicted deterioration of visibility on the roads.

Considering such weather conditions, the Main Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the republic recommends drivers avoid travelling by car, be very careful, maintain a distance and choose a safe speed limit. Inexperienced motorists should refrain from travelling. Before entering highways make sure that the tires meet the road surface conditions. Pedestrians should be careful when crossing the roads.
