Bashkir draughts players have four medals in blitz program at World Championship in Izmir

UFA, 3 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. Draughts World Championship continues in Izmir, Turkey involving eight young players from Bashkortostan.
The competition is held in four age groups in two programs: classical and blitz.
The latter ended with a brilliant performance of Bashkortostan players: two first and two second places, two fourth and two fifth places. Gold medals were won by: Agatha Parahina (Ishimbai) among juniors up to 19 years, Marsel Sharafutdinov (Ufa) among cadets up to 16 years.
The silver award went to Kristina Osipova among cadets up to 16 years and Daniil Ilyin (both from Ufa) among mini-cadets up to 14 years.
Ufa natives Rufina Tavlykaeva and Tamerlan Akhmerov were a bit unlucky with bronze medals (4th place), Rufina Ayupova and Aygiza Muhametyanova (5th place).
The title of the world champion among juniors is the highest peak in the sports career of Agatha Parahina; since 2015, she is included in the top hundred players among women.
Kristina Osipova and Marsel Sharafutdinov are included in the main team of Russia. They played here in Izmir at the European Championships, which ended on October 27 with three gold medals and one bronze won by players of Bashneft draughts club of Ufa.
On November 6, the winners in the classical, most prestigious program will be announced.
