Ufa and Kazan will be connected with express train

UFA, 6 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. An express train from Ufa to Kazan will start running by the summer of 2017, "RBC-Ufa" reports. The State Committee for Tourism RB signed an agreement with their colleagues from Tatarstan and the Russian Railways for transportation development. Now, the issue of a direct train launching to Kazan is under consideration.

Now there is no direct railway communication between the two capitals of the neighbouring regions. The only way to get to Kazan and Ufa is by automobile or bus transport. According to "Yandeks.Raspisanie" service, every day more than 20 buses depart to Kazan. The average cost of a trip is 1000 rubles, the journey takes about eight hours.

The press secretary of the Kuibyshev railway in the Bashkir region Andrei Saveliev confirmed that the development of the route was at the project level.

"Russian Railways and Kuibyshev Railway are interested in the launch of this destination. We expect that it will be as popular as Samara and Moscow destinations. But the timing of its implementation are still unknown ", said the representative of the railway.
