Chinese professor will tell about new technologies in cancer treatment in Ufa

UFA, 5 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The clinic of the Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) hosts a workshop "New Technologies in Treatment of Gastrointestinal Tract Cancer" with participation of Professor Peng Bin from Sichuan Province University (China).

BSMU interacts with the Chinese university for about a year: the cooperation agreement was signed in November 2015; its conclusion was promoted by rectors meeting during the Health Week of the SCO and BRICS countries in May last year.

"One of the achievements of cooperation is exchange of experience at the international level, " said the rector of Bashkir State Medical University Valentin Pavlov. "The BSMU clinic regularly hosts master classes of German and Italian leading surgeons. Chinese surgeons will conduct a demonstrative surgery at our university for the first time".

The surgery will be performed in a patient with cancer of the pancreatic head diagnosis. This is one of the most complex operations in abdominal surgery. It is performed only in the leading clinics around the world, opening up a possibility of solving the unique tasks of knowledge and experience globalization in medicine.

The master class will be held on October 5-6, in the lecture hall of the Bashkir State Medical University Clinic at Shafiev Street, 2, the press centre of the university reports.
