German students undertake internship at Ufa Petroleum University

UFA, 22 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. A group of students from Merseburg University (Germany) arrived at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) to undertake educational internship at the Technology Faculty.

The group is headed by Professor Manfred Heinz Dietmar and Head of Foreign Department, the Language Centre Director Gaby Meister. German guests familiarized themselves with teaching and laboratory facilities of the University, visited the USPTU museum. They were told about development of oil and petrochemical industry in Bashkortostan Republic, the USPTU history, outstanding scientists of the university, who made a great contribution to the development of the petrochemical industry.

The students from Germany will have a rich scientific and educational program: participation in the conference "Chemical Technology: Modeling and Environmental Issues", a seminar on the topic: "Modeling in Chemical Engineering", a visit to the laboratories of the Petrochemical Processing Institute.

The Head of International Cooperation Department Nail Chanyshev explained that even in 2014 an agreement had been signed on cooperation between USPTU and the University of Merseburg, the main point of which was a program of academic exchange.
