2nd Ufa International Marathon participants drank 2700 liters of water

UFA, 13 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. Some interesting facts are disclosed about the Ufa International Marathon which ended this Sunday. The UIM-2016 was attended by runners from 159 cities, 28 regions and 13 countries (Mexico, Japan, USA, France, Germany, Canada, Byelorussia, Turkmenistan, Spain, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Kazakhstan).

The youngest runner was a few months old and the oldest was well on into his eighties.

The most representative was the Sverdlovsk region; the organizers registered 86 Sverdlovsk athletes. It was followed by the neighbouring Tatarstan with 70 participants. The Chelyabinsk region with 58 runners closed the top three.

The marathon participants drank 2,700 liters of water, 150 liters of isotonic drink and 350 liters of tea. They ate 100 kg of bananas, 100 kg of oranges, 20 kg of honey, 750 servings of pasta and 2500 pieces of pizza.

Totally the competition participants ran 40 thousand kilometers.
